And while these activities are definitely more important than any other distraction, it is clear that many people use their smartphones as a distraction while walking.
As one person put it, “When you’re not focused on anything, you can get distracted easily.”
But there’s another way to think about how much of your time is spent on your phone, and it’s a far more subtle way of thinking.
While some people can’t see it, many people are using their phones as an extension of their minds.
We use our phones to control our bodies, and this is why they are considered a distraction.
When we’re not paying attention to our phone, we’re often using it to manipulate our body, even as we’re walking.

So, if you can maintain your mind while you’re walking, you should be able maintain your body.
But there are some things you can do to stay alert while using a smartphone.
One of the biggest ways to stay in touch with yourself is by staying on task.
When you’re tired, your body can feel tired, so your brain needs to find the right mental task.
This can be difficult to do if you are distracted with your phone or in your head.
Another way to keep yourself on track is to read a book while you walk.
If the book is not a traditional reading, it will give you a better idea of what you need to focus your attention on.
If it’s not traditional, then the book might give you clues to the kind of task you need.
For example, a book that has a picture of a tree might suggest that you’re trying to look for the leaves of the tree.
